Hello, and thank you for giving us the opportunity to introduce ourselves.

We are Michael and Claudia Whelan, the husband and wife team behind this family run Property Management Company.

We are based in Cardiff and specialise in placing professional and corporate tenants in good quality shared houses (HMOs) that we fully manage on behalf of the owners.

Our original background is in hotels where we both worked for many years in senior positions including running our own country house hotel for 6 years. After selling this 24/7 business we started investing in property and today own a small property portfolio. All this has given us a wealth of experience with people, property and management.

Back in 2013 we saw an opportunity to offer this solution which provides a better service to both landlords and young professional tenants compared to traditional high street letting agents as well as better returns for the owner of the property. Thus, we set up Property Whelan.

Our company is forward-looking and strives to always be fully up to date and legally compliant in this ever-changing world of government legislation and tenancy laws. Property Whelan is accredited by Rent Smart Wales, a member of ICO, PRS and of the NRLA. Michael is also a committee member of the Cardiff Landlord Forum and a long standing team member of the Property Investment Network (Cardiff branch).
